Alright - if you are reading this and actually following my poor attempts at journaling, you surely (by now!) must be sick of hearing me say how much I love being Emma's mom. The kid is quite simply the neatest kid ever. She amazes me everyday and even on those pull-your-hair-out frustrating and maddening days, I can't get enough of her.

This week she is (patiently!) waiting to ride the "pane" (plane) to see her Dada, Uncle Hef and Mickey! (Well, Dada is always first, Mickey and Uncle Jeff are still duking it out for second place.) Jam is in LA this week for work and Emma and I are going to meet up with him on Thursday and take a long weekend so Jeff can take Em to Disney. She is going to totally lose it - I mean the kid wets herself when she sees Mickey on her diapers, to actually see his face in person...it is going to be so great! I don't know who is more excited for Saturday, me (watching her!) or Emma.

Meanwhile, back here - we are working on projects for Christmas. I can feel it creeping up already and I have so many ideas and never enough time to execute. And of course, Emma is always keeping me busy.

One funny Emma story for the week - we broke out the Frosty the Snowman DVD this week (I figured it was close enough to Thanksgiving and it was a very dreary day) and Emma was captivated by the movie and watching very intently until Santa makes his appearance and she blurts out, "Papa!" (honestly, it did sort of look like Papa). So I explain Santa to her and she seems to get it - and she pointed out a Santa later in the evening while we were at the mall. Anyways, we pull out Rudolph to watch today, and in it Mrs. Claus is calling Santa, "Papa"! The look on Emma's face was so funny - it was like she was trying to work it all out - "Mama said it isn't Papa, now this lady is calling Santa - Papa...what the heck is going on here!"

And I know she remembers what I tell her - she remembers everything. She has one of the CDs we listen to in the car memorized, she knows which song is next...which is scary because I don't even know most of them. She also has started picking up key phrases to some songs and she'll just blurt out the word when it gets to that part of the song - Jamie and I sit really quietly in the front just to get a chance to hear her "sing".

Like I said, she is so fun. Everyday is an adventure and a blessing. We sure do have a lot to be thankful for with that little girl!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving - I'm sure I won't have a chance to write next week - but look for Disney and T-giving pictures soon!
