Hooray!! I got two journal entries in this month. That's not to say that we have been less busy, but I again have a bunch of stuff I need to capture somewhere because it hasn't been being videotaped or written down in Em's baby book. God forbid anything ever happens to this journal, it is the best record of our little Gracie girl's life!

We just got back last week from visiting Uncle Jeff and Disney in Orlando. We had a great time, Emma definitely was more into it than last time, even though it was just November when we went to Disneyland. It is amazing the difference six months can make. We tried to fit a lot of stuff in while still trying to stay cool - which is not an easy feat in 95degree weather. And then when we returned home, it was more of the same weather...hot, humid, not a drop of rain for the entire month of June. Our grass is beyond dead, our garden is so wilty and weepy looking, and our pregnant Mommy is looking a little wilty, too!

We have happily made it to week 29, though! I was a little cautious last week, it was always in the back of my mind that it was week 28 when we had the pre-term labor with Em...but despite the heat and activity, little baby Addison is doing great. I also had a little bit of a scare when I failed my first one-hour glucose test. I had to go in for a three-hour test last Friday, which they messed up about two hours into, and so we went back in on Saturday to do another three-hour. But the results of that just came back today - and according to my nurse I passed with flying colors. (Whew!! 'cuz I didn't even study! :-) I was of course very happy to hear that - I would hate to think of 11 weeks without ice cream or sweets!!

11 weeks!! Yikes, just to write that makes my heart race. It just seems so soon. We have pretty much written off the entire month of July - this week we are going up for Madey Mo's birthday (and Aunt Meesh's, too!). Then next week Em and I are headed to Marquette for Jackie's wedding. The week after we go to Michigan for Davin's wedding (which Jamie is in). And then it is the end of July already!

Em's new room is looking really cute - we are making progress. I'll have to put up some pics after I get everything a little more organized. The big girl bed is going well, except at naptimes she ends up playing, reading, singing for a good hour before she falls asleep! Today I put her up there at 2pm and I didn't hear quiet until at least 3:15 or so. I just went up to check on her and she is asleep on her baby quilt in the middle of the room....crashed. At least she gets a nap, and I get a little quiet time!

Once we finish the little touches on her room, I really have to get started on Ad's room or she'll be here and I'll just have to recycle Em's old room! What the "plan" is for her room is to paint the walls to look like a little cottage like they did on a HGTV show I saw. http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/dc_design_themes/article/0,1793,HGTV_3383_1399206,00.html Here's the link if you are interested. And then instead of doing the Pooh stuff, I actually found a red and white gingham and stripe set from BabyGap with farm animals - so we are going to do more of the Barn theme instead. I think it'll be really cute, I just hope I can pull it off!

I do think Em is getting excited about Baby A. though. She is already telling us where Baby Addison will sit when she comes, and that she is going to teach Baby Addison to swim in the big pool, and she is going to hang on to Baby Addison's hand, etc... I hope she isn't sorely disillusioned and disappointed when Addison does nothing for a few months. She said something so funny last night and I told Jam about it and he said make sure to write it in her journal...and now of course I have baby brain and can't remember what it is. Well, hopefully it will come to me.

I hear her stirring, and it is pool time for the hot & sticky mommy and em...so I'll sign off for now.
