I could never be a single mom...it is just way too hard! We have been on our own this week while Jam has been in SF for a conference and I'm counting the minutes til he gets back!

It isn't even that the girls are being that bad...it is just the monotony and constantly being "on" that is difficult. Emma's bedtime has been our biggest struggle, Jamie has been in charge of putting her down since Addison came, and I just don't do it the same as Daddy, plus I am preoccupied because I have another one who is crying to eat/sleep/be held so bedtime with Mommy isn't as leisurely as it is with Daddy. Other than that, I think we are doing ok and at least holding down the fort.

Addie is starting to get a nice little schedule going where she eats every 4 hours (instead of 2!) and she has been sleeping really great. Again, I think because we are starting to get a sleep schedule down and I'm actually putting her in her crib or bassinette to sleep. I get three nice 2 hour naps from her during the day and she has been going to sleep around 8, too. I think it is the same as it is with Emma, if she naps well during the day, she sleeps well at night - it is the vicious cycle.

The naptime has given me some good time to spend alone with Emma which I know she desperately needs, but it is so hard to not do laundry, cleaning, work, etc. - all of the other things that need to get done somehow. But I keep thinking, it is more important to have a happy two-year old than a clean house.

Which leaves me to times like this, where both of them are napping at the same time...I really should be doing something more productive than playing on the computer! Ok, I need to go take a stab at our disaster of a house...more updates soon.
